Foot Odor
Foot odor occurs as a result of bacterial action on sweat. There are more sweat glands on the feet than anywhere else on the body and the average pair of feet loses about ½ liter of sweat each day. Wearing synthetic socks, shoes and trainers and/or spending a lot of time on your feet causes the feet to sweat more and creates the perfect environment for bacteria to breed. Shoes and socks made from natural fibers allow the feet to breathe and help reduce odor. It helps to wash your feet every day in warm, soapy water, dry them thoroughly, avoid wearing the same pair of shoes two days running and go barefoot whenever you can.
Dietary Advice For Foot Odor
Wholegrain bread and cereals, nuts, fish, dark green leafy vegetables, beans and peas provide zinc and magnesium, which can help reduce foot odor. In general, a varied wholefood diet will help balance all body functions.
Complimentary Remedies For Foot Odor
After washing your feet with soap and water, take an aromatic foot bath. Add 3 tbsp cider vinegar and 6 drops cypress, pine, rosemary or lavender oil to a foot bath. Peppermint is worth trying but use only 3 drops combined with 3 drops lavender or clary sage. Soak your feet for 10 to 15 minutes and dry thoroughly. As well a natural deodorant, cider vinegar helps balance the skin’s pH, which can become upset by excessive perspiration. If pregnant, avoid pine, peppermint, rosemary and clary sage oils.

Hey, what about cedarsoles, you can find in the internet? I’ve read such insoles should also be very effective. It’s because of the specific cedarwood characteristics.
